Day 39 O Pedrouzo (~18km)

2nd last day on the Camino. Walking through eucalypts again (see photo). Not really taking in the scenery as we are now so close. It's almost like we are marking time or delaying Santiago. A bit weird really.

So many pilgrims on the trail especially the 4 dayers(100k) for which i feel no affinity with so don't feel as if we're actually on the same trail as we have been on for over a month.

Have included a photo of the Alburge waiting queue (@12:30) for your amusement. Note the line of packs snaking from the front door. Its a proxy queue waiting for beds or rejection when it opens at 1 or 1:30. Luckily I per booked accommodation for tonight and the two nights in Santiago.

Pedrouzo seems nice enough although the evening meal is still to be sampled.

I tried to bleach the white shirt I've been warring every day so that it is somewhat presentable for sailing in Croatia. Alas no success I need either some more serious chemicals or a new shirt.
